I came to the Journey of Understanding thinking I would just be learning about other cultures and people but for me the greatest development was learning about myself. My perception on how to deal with life events have significantly changed. I have met people who have been through so many trails and tribulations in their life but their strength is like nothing I have seen before. People have shared the most intimate details of their lives and laid themselves completely bare. We started the week as strangers but we leave with a bond that is stronger and deeper then most relationships. To say this is a life changing experience, is the biggest understatement.
